The background is a photograph taken aboard the USS Constitution in Boston. Dropouts that occur from the transfer process were covered with a turquoise dimensional paint. I added a piece of a mechanical calculator with blue foil behind it, an iPhone box and a piece of painted wood finish out the piece. The background inside the box is from a rusting poster photographed in Budapest. The wire "sketch" was inspired by the early and continuing work of Alexander Calder, best known for his lyrical mobiles. Painting the wire to highlight certain sections is really fun.
