GALLERIES > ART that SOLD

A photograph I took in 2001 in Sintra, Portugal, was transferred to canvas. Green paint filled in the small dropouts in the transfer and purple was used around contrasting light and dark areas. A wire "sketch" was created from a single piece of wire. Portions were painted in different colors and patterns. This was partially inspired by an exhibit of Alexander Calder's early wire sketches at the Pompidou Museum in Paris in 2009. I love this medium and hope to continue to explore working with wire.
