Inspired by the discovery in a local metal recycling bin of a decorative brass deer head that had been shorn of its antlers, I substituted twisted copper pipe with electrical wire hidden inside for the antlers, attached them with brass compression fittings to the head and finished the tips with blue LED lights mounted in brass sleeves. To finish the piece I created a back piece with real deer hide, strips of stained wood and brass, and lit it with halogen light fixtures.
