My rosy-cheeked nephew, Dan Hoke, gave me a couple of rattlesnake rattles to try to work into one of my art projects. I placed the rattle behind an old filmstrip projector condenser lens, framed it with a typewriter guide and surrounded it with other junk and LED lights. The outside was finished with tile cement dyed with Crayola powdered tempera pigment. The original box was made for a wooden gavel (which I used in a piece yet!),
